Come to the UdG on foot

Mobility

The most natural way of travelling is naturally on foot. If you think about it, the university campuses are hardly far from Girona's neighbourhoods and so, besides being a more environmentally friendly means of transport, walking will also save you time and money. The WHO recommends doing 30 minutes of physical activity (such as walking at good pace), at least five days per week.

Information

You will gain time and money: it's free, there are no rush hours or queues.

It helps you get healthy: you’re doing physical exercise without even realising it. It helps to protect you against illnesses (cancer, diabetes, osteoporoses, the heart attacks, etc.) It improves your muscle tone and the cognitive functions. It helps you stop smoking. It lengthens life expectancy.

You’ll be able to enjoy the city: turn your daily path into an adventure. Explore the old quarter's countless nooks and crannies. Discover the natural environment. Meet new people.

Relax and smile: Walking is the best remedy for stress. Enjoy the company of one or more friends. Stop and buy a paper, have a coffee, visit a museum, start a conversation... you set the pace: slow, light, daydreaming, observant, speaking, thinking...

Improve the Environment: help to reduce atmospheric-pollution noise levels. Promote a pleasant, kind and sociable city.
