University of Girona grants for master's-degree students

“TII/UdG Educational Funding Agreement” call for grant applications for the master's-degree studies in intelligent Robotic Systems (MIRS) at the University of Girona. Academic year 23-24 (second call)

Intended individuals: those pre-enrolled on the Master in Intelligent Robotic Systems (MIRS) at the University of Girona.

Endowment: 2 grants are offered, worth €5,000 for international students who are not EU citizens. 

Grant application submissions: from 25 October to 8 November at 11:59 pm (Girona local time).

Requirements: (must be met on the deadline for submitting applications)

  • Having formalised the pre-enrolment for the Master in Intelligent Robotic Systems with all the requisite documents for admission, for newly admitted students.
  • Having paid the corresponding administrative fee for academic services for university master's degrees, in accordance with the current decree in force on prices for academic services at Catalan public universities, for newly admitted students.
  •  Having been accepted to do the Master in Intelligent Robotic Systems.
  •  Having completed the first year of the master’s degree during the academic year 2023-2024 and having an average academic record grade for the first year of the master's degree equal to or above 6.5, for second-year students.

Distribution of the grant amount:

  • The 60-credit enrolment amount will be discounted directly from the value of the grant. The remaining amount, where necessary, will be paid to the beneficiary in two instalments: one in January 2024 and the other in May 2024.

Call for 3 grants worth €3,500€ for the Master’s degree in Food Biotechnology or Cultural Tourism

Target audience: students pre-enrolled on the Master in Food Biotechnology or Cultural Tourism at the University of Girona.

Provision: 3 grants for a maximum amount of €3,500, for enrolling on one of the masters as part of the call. Three grants are offered, two for the Master in Food Biotechnology and one for the Master in Cultural Tourism.

Grant-application submission period: from 19 September to 6 October 2023 at 11:59 pm (Girona local time). Access the application form here.

  • Having formally pre-enrolled for a place on the Master in Food Biotechnology or Cultural Tourism.
  • Having paid the pre-enrolment fee of €30.21.
  • Pre-enrolment on the master’s degree must be completed with all the required admission documentation.

Distribution of the grant amount:

  • The 60-credit enrolment amount will be discounted directly from the value of the grant. The remaining amount, where necessary, will be paid to the beneficiary in two instalments: one in December 2023 and the other in February 2024.

Target audience: graduates who have completed their bachelor's degree, pre-EHEA degree or diploma by the application-submission deadline and studied at a Spanish university. To apply for these grants applicants must be pre-enrolled on a master's programmes included in the call and have an average grade in their bachelor's degree, pre-EHEA degree or diploma academic transcript equal to or above 6.5.

Students in their second year of a 90- or 120-credit master's degree at the UdG can also apply for the grant, provided their first year’s average grade was equal to or higher than 6.5.

Constitution of the grant: the total amount of the teaching side of the academic fees for enrolling on 60-credit master's degrees at the UdG, with a maximum amount of €1660.20 (enrolment-associated fees are not included and must be paid by the beneficiary).

Deadline for submitting applications*: 16 October 2023 at 11:59 pm (local time in Girona)
Application form: Santander scholarships website (you must register with the bank’s platform) The application for the scholarship must be made using your national ID or passport number.

Requirements:

  • To have read studies that give access to a master’s degree at a university outside the Spanish university system
  • Being a resident of the European Union.
  • Having an average grade on the course providing access to a master's degree equal to or higher than 6.5.
  • Having an average grade in the first year of a master’s degree of 90 or 120 credits equal to or higher than 6.5, for persons applying for the grant for their second year of a master's degree.
  • Not having obtained or met the requirements for obtaining another official master's degree from another Spanish university.
  • Having formally pre-enrolled on any of the official master's degrees listed in Annex 1 of the call.
  • Having paid the pre-enrolment fee of €30.21.
  • The pre-enrolment on the master’s degree must be completed with all the required documentation.
  • Applicants for the Erasmus Mundus master’s (MAIA, FRP++, IFROS) will be able to request the grant provided they receive classes at the University of Girona. Contact the coordinator for the master’s for specific information.

Enrolment grant call for the master's degree in Data Science

Aimed at: those pre-enrolled for the master’s degree in Data Science at the University of Girona, whether EU or non-EU students.

Funding: 1 grant up to a maximum amount of €1,660,20, for enrolment on the master’s degree of the call (taxes associated with enrolment are not included and correspond to the beneficiary of the grant).

Grant-application submission period: from 28 September to 22 October 2023 at 11:59 pm (Girona local time). Access the application form here

Students aiming to apply for this grant will have to fill in the Application form and submit it to any registration office or through the University of Girona’s e-register or any other means provided by legislation. Foreign-national students unable to use the e-register electronic have to fill in the application and delegate its e-register submission to cic@udg.edu 2 work days before the application-submission deadline.

This call is aimed exclusively at university graduates who finished their degree on 16 June 2023.
If you finish your bachelor's degree during the academic year 2022-23, we will publish an identical call in September and you will be able to apply for it.

Target audience: graduates who have completed their bachelor's degree, pre-EHEA degree or diploma by the application deadline and that have studied at a Spanish university.To apply for these grants applicants must be pre-enrolled on a master's programmes included in the call and have an average grade in their bachelor's degree, pre-EHEA degree or diploma academic transcript equal to or higher than 6.5.

Call for 6 grants worth €3,500€ for the Master’s degree in Food Biotechnology or Cultural Tourism

Provision: 6 grants for a maximum amount of €3,500, for enrolling on one of the masters as part of the call. Six grants are available, three for each master's degree.

Call for 17 enrolment grants for studying one of the master's degrees at the UdG included in the programme.

Target audience
: those pre-enrolled on one of the master’s programmes included in this call and who have obtained their master’s access degree outside of Spain and do not have a residence permit in Spain.
Value of the grant
: the total value of academic educational fees for enrolling on 60 credits of a master degree at UdG, for the maximum amount of €3952,20 (enrolment fees are not included and shall be paid by the student).
Application period: from 18 April to 12 May 2023, at 11.59 pm (local time in Girona)
Application form: Beques Santander website (you will need to register on the bank’s website) The grant application must be made using a passport number.
Requisites:

  • To have completed the studies that give access to a master’s degree at a university outside of the Spanish university system.
  • Not having a residence permit for Spain (except permission to study).
  • Not being in possession of an official master's degree previously obtained at a Spanish university.
  • Having pre-enrolled on any of the official master's degrees listed in Annexe I of the call. The application from will require you to attach a screenshot of the pre-enrolment confirmation email sent by the University of Girona.
  • Having paid the rate of pre-enrolment fee of €30,21 (for new access students to the master’s).
  • Pre-enrolment on the master’s degree must be completed with all the required admission documentation.
  • Students taking masters’ degrees of 90 or 120 credits will be able to request the grant for the second year of the master’s with the obligation of enrolling for the full credits needed for finishing the master’s, as long as they have an average mark of 6.5 or over from the first year.
  • Applicants for the Erasmus Mundus master’s (MAIA, EMTM, FRP++, IFROS) will be able to request the grant where they have teaching at the University of Girona. Contact the coordinator for the master’s for specific information.
