The main objective of the Chair is to promote interdisciplinary study and research on the relationship between architecture and the human body, understood as a dynamic and changing construct that has evolved to adapt to environments and life in society. The aim is to create an academic and cultural space that fosters dialogue between art, science, architecture and critical thinking, turning the human body into a channel of reflection and a point of convergence of diverse knowledge.
Furthermore, the Chair intends to establish links with the local area and to give the knowledge generated back to society, through activities that promote an understanding of the human body and its relationship with architectural space. In collaboration with public and private institutions, the aim is to promote cultural and educational initiatives that promote democratic values, equality, a culture of peace and cross-cutting thinking, thus contributing to the social progress and cultural development of our citizens.
