Constructing a building has a striking impact as much in terms
of land use -in that it takes over a plot with a potential use, leaving it partially or totally annihilated, such as when destroying a vegetated space that has a certain ecological and landscape value - as the use of multiple resources and the generation of different waste, which must be correctly managed.

Moreover, the diversity of uses stemming from the university activities makes building needs increasingly specific.

Selecting a model that facilitates the control of energy consumption and the optimisation of resources (water, materials, and so on) in both the construction and use phases can not only produce a direct environmental improvement but, because these are very frequented spaces for the university community, can also convert them into spaces of learning about efficient resources management application systems models.
