The Department of Education is the unit that coordinates assigned teaching in the subject areas of Didactics and School Organisation, Research and Diagnosis Methods in Education, Theory and History of Education, and Social Work and Social Services, delivering teaching, supporting teaching and research activities and initiatives for academic staff, and organising and developing research.
The academic staff of the Department of Education provide teaching in the bachelor's degrees in Social Education, Nursery Teaching, Primary Teaching, Pedagogy, and Social Work and Social Services.It also provides classes for the Joint Master in Youth and Society (MIJS), coordinated by the department, and to the master’s degrees: Masters of Education in Diversity, Master in training ESO and Batxillerat teaching staff, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, Master in Cultural Management, Master in Work, Labour Relations and Human Resources, and Master in Teaching Spanish and Catalan as Second Languages
