Come to the UdG by bike

If you come to the UdG on bike, remember that:

  • You will reduce the emissions of pollutants to zero in the displacements;
  • You will consume 25 times less energy than the car;
  • You will avoid jams and you will win time in the displacements;
  • You will save in fuel and car parks;
  • In the space that occupies a car they can circulate there or park 7 bicycles. Reducing squares of car park, these spaces can be destined to other uses by the UdG. We think that the UdG belongs to the students, PDI and PAS and not to the vehicles;
  • You will do exercise.

We can leave you one loan in one of the points of control placed to the Module 20 of the Campus Montilivi.

Montilivi timetable: Mondays, from 8.30 am to 10.30 am; Tuesdays, from 1.30 pm to 3 pm; Wednesdays, from 1 pm to 2.30 pm, and Fridays, from 1 pm to 3 pm -for returns-

Other loan points: Porter's Office at the Faculties ofNursing and Medicine (Centre Campus) or the Porter's Office at the Faculties of Arts and Tourism (Barri Vell Campus) during porter's office opening times.

All loans are made during the service hours of each of control point, while all items must be returned on Friday. It is not possible to have a bicycle UdG in period of weekend

The loan is totally free for everybody who is part of the university community. Only the book of record has to be filled in with your data and sign that you agree with the acceptable use policies.

To arrive to the Campus of Montilivi where there are the Polytechnic School, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences, the Faculty of Law and the CIAE it is very easy and moreover we do not have to carry out too much effort. We take the bycicle lane fitted out for the Montilivi Avenue and it follows Lluís Pericot for the Avenue and we will arrive easily to the campus. In front of each centre there are parkings installed for your bicycles: let's use them.

To access the campus of Barri Vell, where the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Tourism, the Faculty of Education and Psychology and the building of the Office of the President and Central Services, is placed we have to make a little more of effort, but you do not get discouraged. There are several routes, which manage to exceed the difference of height in a less costly way. Search in the map of pathways what adapts more to your origin, if you opt to rise for the C/Portal Nou you take into account that it is very narrow and you can from time to time find a car of faces, for so better that you go down of the bicycle. If even so it is too tired for you you can leave the bicycle in the Square of the Oil and walk five minutes to arrive to the campus. If not, there are other alternatives to the particular car to access the campus as for example the line 7 of the TMG.

This other UdG campus, where the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine are placed, thanks to its situation in the centre of the city has many more possibilities and diversity of routes depending on your origin. None of them show difficulties and therefore the option to use the bicycle is the fastest, comfortable, economic and sustainable.
