Quality policy of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona
Approved by the Centre Quality Committee in session 2/2024, of 12 December 2024, and by the faculty board of Education and Psychology in session 1/2025, of 6 March 2025, and amended on 9 September 2025, in session 3/2025 of the Quality Committee and session 3/2025 of the faculty board.
The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP) at the University of Girona (UdG) establishes this quality policy in accordance with the quality policy of the University of Girona. The Faculty undertakes to promote ongoing improvement strategies that reinforce the progressive increase in quality in the activities carried out in the fields of teaching, innovation, community commitment, management, research and knowledge transfer.
The Faculty of Education and Psychology is tasked with providing comprehensive training in similar fields to all its bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Student training promotes the development of critical and reflective thinking, the autonomous capacity for learning and problem solving, the application of scientific, humanistic and ethical principles. We place students at the centre of learning, guiding them in the acquisition of knowledge and in the development of skills and competences for a professional exercise of excellence, thus contributing to the well-being of society, with which we have an ethical responsibility.
The FEP Quality Policy takes on the following strategic commitments:
1. Commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement
To offer quality training in bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees, adapted to social and professional needs, with personalised student follow-up and a Quality Management System that ensures continuous improvement.
2. Commitment to social responsibility and sustainability
To consolidate the FEP as a responsible university community, which integrates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes innovation and knowledge transfer to address social and educational challenges.
3. Commitment to quality resources and infrastructures
To have the necessary material, technological and infrastructure resources to guarantee efficient teaching, research and management in a suitable and safe environment.
4.Commitment to internationalisation and international outreach
To promote the international dimension of the Faculty through student mobility, PDI and PTGAS, and networking with global institutions and projects.
5. Commitment to participatory and collaborative governance
To guarantee a transparent, participatory and co-operative governance model that fosters community involvement and joint work between the academic, administrative and institutional spheres.
6. Commitment to the university community and professional development
To promote the participation and sense of belonging of students, PDI and PTGAS, fostering their academic and professional development.
The Faculty Board entrusts the Centre Quality Committee with the responsibility to ensure compliance with this Quality Policy.The faculty board intends to periodically review the quality policy at the centre and amend it whenever necessary.
