REPRESENTATION IN THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGY’S BODIES 

Course representative

The course representative informs all the students in each group about matters affecting them and sends any questions, suggestions and feedback from the group to the corresponding person or body. They are elected at the beginning of each year.

Study Council

The Study Council is a registered body that examines and discusses everything that affects degree teaching and programming. Each bachelor's degree and master's degree has a studies board and students are represented on the board through their class representatives.

Faculty Board

The Board is the Faculty of Science’s collegiate governing body. The Faculty’s Board approves the general lines of the Faculty, plans the use of its financial resources and sets out its administrative guidelines. Students have 27% representation. Representatives of the student sector are renewed every two years.

Governing Committee

The Governing Committee proposes the approval or change of course curricula and teaching plans within the Faculty. Among other functions, it determines, at the suggestion of the academic council, the distribution of timetables, classrooms and exams Three students are elected to the Governing Commission by and among the members of the Board.

Quality Committee

The Quality Committee is the body responsible for the quality processes related to the official degrees of the faculty. It strives for quality in the approach and deployment of verification, follow-up, modification and accreditation processes for bachelor’s and master's degrees taught at the centre, as well as for Quality Assurance Systems at the faculty. The students account for 15% of the members of the committee: One student for each bachelor's degree and one master’s degree student.


REPRESENTATION ON CENTRAL UNIVERSITY BODIES

Senate

The University Senate is the highest representative governing body of the university community. It approves the general performance initiatives and the budget, it supervises the management of positions and governing bodies and discusses matters affecting the university community. 23% of members are students of the University of Girona chosen through biennial elections.

Student Council

The Student Council is the highest representative and deliberative student body at the UdG and is made up of all students on the University Senate. It advises and defends the interests of all students, coordinates their representatives, provides information on general university guidelines and administers its resources. On the Board there is a standing committee with student representatives from each centre; the Student Delegation. 

Governing Council of the University of Girona

The Governing Council of the UdG is the ordinary governing body of the university. It assists the rector in their functions and, among other tasks, approves University of Girona programming, academic regulations and curricula. There are five student representatives on the standing committee of the Student Council.
