Description:: Forced marriage is one of the least visible forms of gender-based violence.Even in the 21st century, there are young women and even girls who are forced to marry men they do not know - often much older than themselves - because their families have decided so.And, contrary to what one might think, this does not happen only in African or Asian countries; it also happens here in Catalonia.It is important to identify these cases, but also to provide support throughout the process and help find solutions.For this reason, we have developed a training course on forced marriage as part of an innovation project aimed at improving teaching quality regarding gender-based violence. The goal is for FEP students to become aware of this issue, understand its concepts, learn to identify it, familiarise themselves with action protocols and acquire the resources needed to take action.
