Basic statistical knowledge is required to attend this course: parameter estimation, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing (one sample t-test, two sample t-test, ANOVA, type I and type II errors).More generally: sample, variability, distribution, p-value and significance level.

This course first introduces the world surrounding the publication of scientific articles (publishers, journals, editors, authors, reviewers, databases, etc.)and the parameters defined to evaluate the quality of journals, researchers and their work (h-index, impact index, etc.).
