Doctorate certificate

Requirements and necessary steps for requesting doctorate certificates

Once the University of Girona closes your doctoral degree’s academic record, following the acceptance of your thesis, you will be notified by email and able to request your academic certificate and the Diploma Supplement (SET) online. You will need to meet the prerequisites and carry out the following steps to process you request:

1

Fill in the form for thesis publication in the TDX repository

Download the form for thesis publication in the TDX repository , fill it in and email it to the academic secretary’s office at the School of Doctoral Studies (sec.edoctorat@udg.edu).

This step is not necessary if you formalised the deposit of your thesis through the online procedure available in the Virtual Secretary’s Office (set up in November 2021).

2

Filling in the file for thesis publication in the TESEO database

Access the TESEO website, register there as a doctoral student and duly fill in all the sections.

3

Having shown the original documents for accessing the doctoral degree

Before you can request the certificate, you will have to provide the academic secretary’s office at the School of Doctoral Studies with the original documents needed for accessing the doctoral degree, as we asked required from you on your admission to the programme:

This step is not necessary if you passed your bachelor's-degree and postgraduate studies at the University of Girona.

4

Formalising the online application for doctoral-degree certificate

Access the Procedures section in the Virtual Secretary’s Office (La meva UdG > Staff > Report > Procedures). Choose the report corresponding to the upper pull-down menus and start the “Application for doctorate certificate and European Diploma supplement” procedure.

If you cannot access La meva UdG with your user code and password contact the academic secretary’s office at the School of Doctoral Studies.
