ECTS credits: sports subjects

You can enrol at any time during the academic year 2025-2026

Obtain up to a maximum of 6 ECTS credits towards your bachelor's degree studies during the year, from a range of over 20 comprehensive and sporting physical activity subjects.Enrol online by clicking on the subject you like best out of all the options you will find below. 

During the year, new subjects can be added since it is an evolving programme that gets updated throughout the year. 

 

Important aspects of the sports subjects:

  • Each subject is worth 1 ECTS credit (bachelor's degree studies) for recognised credit transfer.
    You can obtain 1 or 2 ECTS credits* (1+1 free) in the subjects of paddle, tennis and taekwondo.(*See conditions).
  • To get the discounts on the various activities, you need to become a member of the Sports Service for the academic year 2024-25 before enrolling.
  • Remember you can become a member at any time through the website.

LIST OF ACTIVITIES

 

+Introduction to padel (10 am, 12 noon or 3 pm) (1+1 ECTS)

Introduction to padel (10 am, 12 noon or 3 pm) (1+1 ECTS)

7 sessions to practice this racket sport, to get to know the rules, the basic structure and the basic technical and tactical aspects specific to this sporting discipline.
1+1 ECTS: this subject allows you to obtain 1 additional bachelor's-degree ECTS for free, if you enter the little league of matches among your fellow course students (minimum 8 matches- One match per day maximum).What has to be paid is admission to the facility for those who are not a member of the Sports Service and use of the track for each practice.Members only pay for use of the track by the hour.It is coordinated and managed by the Sports Service.The courts need to be booked in advance through the Reserva Play app (you need to register and put money in the virtual wallet). Teachers: Coaches from the tennis teacher training college of Girona

Introduction to diving (Thurs and Fri from 9 am to 3pm) 1 ECTS

This course is an introduction to the underwater world, where basic notions will be provided to carry out two dives from a boat.The structure of the course includes a theoretical part, which is carried out through the platform PADI, and a practical part, in which the participants complete two dives from a boat under the direct supervision of the instructors, with an additional focus on the protection and conservation of marine biodiversity in our part of the world.
It is important to highlight that the two dives from a boat will be made when the weather conditions allow for it, guaranteeing safety and the enjoyment of the experience for all participants.
Those wishing to obtain official certification are encouraged to complete an additional four dives.When the full programme is completed, participants will obtain a level one OWD diving certificate, enabling them to explore the depths of the sea up to 18 metres underwater in total safety and complete confidence.
In short, this course offers a thrilling opportunity to dive into the underwater world and explore its wonders, providing theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience under the expert direction of qualified instructors.
