Sport at the UdG

ECTS credits: sports subjects

You can enrol at any time during the academic year 2022-2023

Obtain up to a maximum of 6 ECTS credits towards your bachelor's degree studies during the year, from a range of over 20 comprehensive and sporting physical activity subjects. Enrol online by clicking on the subject you like best out of all the options you will find below. 

During the year, new subjects can be added since it is an evolving programme that gets updated throughout the year. 

 

Important aspects of the sports subjects:

  • Each subject is worth 1 ECTS credit (bachelor's degree studies) for recognised credit transfer.
    You can obtain 1 or 2 ECTS credits* (1+1 free) in the subjects of paddle, tennis and taekwondo. (*See conditions).
  • To get the discounts on the various activities , you will have to become a member of the Sports Service for the academic year 2022-23 before enrolling.
  • Remember your being able to make some partner/to in any moment via web .

+Introduction to yoga. Happy Yoga (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur or Fri at 9.30 am) 1 ECTS

Introduction to yoga. Happy Yoga (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur or Fri at 9.30 am) 1 ECTS

11 seventy-five-minute sessions for learning and performing the type of yoga you choose: vinyasa yoga, kundalini yoga or hatha yoga which will help you to keep your body in shape and train your mind to make you a strong and flexible person, making it easier for you to take on changes and stress. Postures, breathing techniques, meditation..., all practicals are aimed at boosting the well-being of student with high academic demands, strengthening health, emotional balance and internal balance. +Introduction to diving (Thur and Fri 9.30 am) 1 ECTS

Introduction to diving (Thur and Fri 9.30 am) 1 ECTS

Students will be introduced to the wonders of the Costa Brava sea. This will include a full theory part on all the safety and planning procedures for diving. The basic techniques for diving will be learned so student will end up feeling independent and have diving, their and safety procedures under control. Course recognised by the Catalan government. With 8 additional hours of practice and on payment of the fee, the first level certificate can be obtained. Teacher: Fran Gómez

Introduction to via ferratas and canyoning (weekend) 1 ECTS

The course has both an educational and a practical approach and is aimed at anyone who would like an introduction to canyoning and via ferratas with maximum safety and guarantees.Course attendees will learn to recognise the different elements of canyoning/via ferrata and the basic safety techniques. Course attendees will be given the opportunity to experience a whole host of sensations... and they will also find themselves in a variety of situations, with the aim of discovering as much as possible about these sports. Anyone who successfully completes the course will be able to do canyoning/via ferratasj on their own, effectively and with maximum safety. The course is divided up into theory and practical classes. Outdoor activity where you will progressively learn the different canyoning techniques such as walking, swimming, jumping, tobogganing down slopes, siphons and descending on ropes... And, with safety always the top priority, you will discover wild, hidden natural paths with small caves, galleries and so on. It is essential to know how to swim. Teacher: Carlos Folguera.

+Connection & Bachata (1 ECTS)

Connection & Bachata (1 ECTS)

Enjoy dancing and interpersonal connections in 5 two-hour sessions through the “bachata” technique of dancing in pairs and carrying out several types of emotional-intelligence dynamics. We will create a space of trust and authenticity for connecting with the sensory and emotional world and sharing it through the dance. All sessions will have a common thread so that every time we are in this space we can delve more deeply into the connection with music, dance and all the other colleagues. Teacher: Màrius Farnarier.
