Diagnosis:
There are interesting external funding options, such as the Erasmus+ programmes (KA103 and KA107 categories), for attracting new students to the MMS master’s degree. Erasmus+ students doing MMS master’s-degree subjects are currently not recognised as master’s students and therefore counted among the number of newly admitted students (minimum 15 students for course). This situation occurs in any of the following situations: (1) grants awarded only in one direction ("incoming" MMS master’s students); (2) grants awarded for mobility in both directions, where the UdG students are not MMS master's students and the "incoming" students apply to take MMS master’s-degree subjects. The UdG currently has no clear policy with the master’s degrees on where these situations lead to, but it is advisable for the UdG to remain active in such programmes so that it can gain a reputation throughout Europe and associated countries. Moreover, these students do not enrol at the UdG as a conventional student. They enrol at their university of origin and take similar subjects to the UdG. However, in some cases they could take additional subjects through conventional enrolment, but this possibility is not feasible because the student counts as an international student and both situations cannot occur simultaneously.
Appraisal:
The UdG intends to be more "international" at the master’s level. The current problems have been explained to the vice-rector for planning The plan is to insist on this subject with the corresponding deputy rector’s office. This action could not be carried out because of administrative problems.

GEM
Description:
Review of content and the number of groups of common subjects for 2nd and 3rd year studies shared with other bachelor's degrees. There are common industrial core subjects which have more than one large group and a medium-sized group. These groups are divided according to bachelor's degrees, with slightly different content taught depending on the group. The intention is to check if it is worth keeping these subjects shared or if it is better to separate them by bachelor's degrees.
Diagnosis:
This task has been extended for another year. The previous period was not sufficiently long for making an exhaustive study of the 2nd- and 3rd-year’s common subjects. The decision has been made to close this objective. During the first semester of 2024 the intention is to review the report on the study. This review will be used to carry out this activity. Therefore the objective is closed.
Appraisal:
The decision was taken to close this objective. During the first semester of 2024 the intention is to review the report on the study (see OBJ0002736). This review will be used to carry out this activity. Therefore the objective is closed.

Diagnosis:
Most of the bachelor's degrees at the EPS were defined between 2009 and 2010. They ought to be updated, in many cases, with the new trends and needs of the various fields and new legal frameworks (RD822/2021). That is why a new EPS bachelor's degree studies map needs to be designed which will enable a visualisation of the studies to be planned over the coming years.
Appraisal:
The management team has been working on a proposal. The proposal was presented at a meeting with the programme coordinators, deputy directors and director on 26/1/23. There were discussions with all stakeholders in 2023 about the possibility of a new bachelor's degree in the School and the final decision was to maintain the current range of courses and start a reverification process for bachelor's degree studies in order to improve and update the curricula.

Diagnosis:
The Master in Food Biotechnology’s TFMs had been managed by the Institute of Food and Agricultural Technology up to the academic year 2020-21, the Master’s degree’s promotion unit. The adaptation to TFGs/TFMs regulations and rules has standardised the procedures and the view is that it is more appropriate for TFMs in the MBTA to be managed by the teaching institution that carries out the Master degree's academic management, with the coordinator of the study and the educational commission taking part. The proposal is for the procedure for the TFGs/TFMs of the Polytechnic School adapted to the degree's specific requirements.

Skills are currently being evaluated based on the grades of the subjects to which each of the skills is assigned. This method is fairly accurate for specific competences, but it is considered a very indirect measure for transferable skills. It is for this reason that the aim is to develop a system that, using the rubrics of the EEL and bachelor's thesis subjects and the final grades of subjects, provides a more specific assessment of each of the transferable skills. This application would depend first on the development of the new bachelor's thesis application developed under goal OBJ0001253.
Appraisal:
A pilot test has been presently launched to assess the Work Group's cross-cutting skills in some of the subjects, linked to an ICE work group. The development of a new application for the evaluation of cross-disciplinary skills has been rejected, for the intention of redefining degrees and for the change of skills to learning results set out by the new RD.
