The objective of the Chair of Occupational Safety and Health is to promote university-wide activities for knowledge and information exchange with other institutions in the field of occupational health and safety.

The Girona Smart City Chair promotes the study, research and dissemination of the Smart City concept focusing on small and medium sized cities, such as Girona, through the organisation of activities related to research, technology transfer, debate and diffusion to increase the presence of the University of Girona and its Institute of Informatics and Applications to make the city of Girona and its Governing institutions world leaders in the area of small and medium sized Smart Cities.
Manel Xifra Boada Chair in research and innovation in technology of the transformation of flexible containers
The Manel Xifra Boada Chair will be the meeting point between the Comexi Group and its nearest academic and research environment, the University of Girona and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech, and has to become an essential node in the network that should allow the Catalan flexible container sector to attain a position of technological leadership worldwide.

The Narcís Fages De Romà Chair of Viticulture and Oenology created by the University of Girona together with the Town Council of Figueres and the DO Regulatory Board of Empordà includes two different but closely linked disciplines: viticulture, which encompasses everything from basic ampelography to modern vine cultivation techniques, and oenology as a set of scientific and technical knowledge involved in the entire wine making process.
