External placements are an important part of the training process for students on the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine. The aim is to familiarise students with the real professional world in order to help them develop the specific competences required by the profession, put the knowledge they have acquired into practice, and at the same time recognise and improve their own personal skills.
In the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, students are obliged to undertake practical placements within the subjects over the six academic years.
The UdG has its own Regulations on external academic placements for bachelor's and master's degrees .
If students wish to do more practicals, although undertaking other professional external placements is not initially envisaged, it is also possible to do extracurricular practicals.
