Sport voluntary workers

What are the sport voluntary workers of the UdG?

Sports volunteering work continues throughout the year, for collaboration with the organisation of several sport events, carried out in the County of Girona, such as fun runs, bicycle races, and cross-country races.

 

Information to note

  • Registration for volunteering is free in all cases.
  • Activity for everybody.Any member of the university community can register for them.
  • The tasks to carry out they can vary as the organisation of the sport event asks.Mainly being at refreshment stations or giving gift bags to those in the races, among other activities.
  • By carrying out sport volunteering you can collect points to achieve 1 ECTS (40 points).Find out more: exchange of points for credits (sport and leisure). In this case, if 40 points are gained solely through volunteering and if you are a member of the Sports Service, enrolment for sports and leisure is free of charge.
  • In the case of the Sports Service's voluntary member exchanges, points can be added up by collaborating in the sport activities that the Sports Service organise and up to 6 free ECTS can be obtained in bachelor's-degree studies.

Once the 40 points have been attained, if you are a member of the Sports Service, registration for this subject is free if you gain all 40 points only through voluntary work.If you are not a member of the Sports Service, you need to Register for sports and leisure which costs €29.
