FAQs about first PS enrolment

Polytechnic School

To enrol you will need to go to “la meva UdG”, access your report, from the “enrolment” tab. Once you enter the enrolment page you can access all the information you need for enrolling correctly. Remember that you will be asked for:

  • User: UdG number
  • Password: the random password you have been given must be changed when you log in for the first time.

Consult the web for the times of the groups for each subject that you are going to enrol for. Some studies have more than one group per subject.

The online enrolment system will offer you a group by default, which may be either in the morning or in the afternoon, and you can change this straight away, if there are free places.

PLEASE NOTE!!! You must register in the same group for ALL subjects in order to avoid timetable clashes.

For example, groups A and B for some studies in the field of industry are in the mornings, but are incompatible with each other. The same applies to groups C and D, which are in the afternoons and are also incompatible with each other.

Continuing with the example, if you have mainly enrolled in group A subjects and there are no more places left in this group for the rest of the subjects you want to enrol in, choose groups C or D (only one of them, and always the same one).

ATTENTION!! If you enrol on groups with incompatible timetables, we will automatically correct your enrolment.

What you enrol in are the theory groups. The practicals (classroom, laboratory and computer room) will be assigned to you automatically, and you will be able to see which groups you have been assigned from 8 September onwards.

The Enrolment regulations do not allow changes unless there have been changes in the timetable.

It is important to make sure you are enrolled for the subjects you wish to take as changes cannot be made outside the established administrative calendar.

You can change your enrolment as many times as you like on the same day, but you will not be able to make any further changes after 11.59 pm. It is therefore very important to carefully select your subjects and especially the groups to avoid overlaps.

Any potential enrolment changes will be analysed and resolved for justified and exceptional cases.

If you would like to request a change of group you will need to apply through your online academic transcript in the ‘Procedures’ section. You will need to select, in particular, the “Application to the Administration” procedure. The data you will have to provide are as follows: subject(s) whose change you are requestion, group you are enrolled in and group you wish to transfer to.You will need to provide documentary justification in an attached file. Once a decision has been made on your application, you will be notified of the result by email.

For any other change you will need to start the “Request to Administration” procedure and provide the justifications you deem appropriate.

You can pay the enrolment fee either in full or in instalments:

  • In full: the university will charge the fee to the account that you specify when you enrol.

If you pay in instalments, you can pay in two or three instalments, or monthly:

  • Two instalments: the first payment is collected immediately after enrolment (this includes 60% of the academic fees and taxes) and the second payment is collected before the end of the calendar year (the remaining 40% of the academic fees).
  • Three instalments: the first payment is collected immediately after enrolment (this includes 40% of the academic fees and taxes), the second payment is collected in mid-October (20% of the academic fees) and the third payment is collected before mid-December (the remaining 40% of the academic fees).
  • Monthly instalments: the payments will cover the proportional part of the academic fees depending on the time of enrolment. The instalments are due on the 5th of each month (from September to May). The final instalment will be due on 5 May.

No extra charges apply for installed payments.

If you are not the holder of the bank account from which the enrolment fee will be paid, check the corresponding box on the online registration form. At the same time, you will need to start a procedure called "Communication or modification of bank details" which you will find in your online file. You will need to fill in the information requested, and upload a copy of the national ID card of the account holder and the signed authorisation document that you will find within the same procedure.

To be able to undertake your chosen studies, you need to comply with the student regulations for bachelor's degree studies. These govern the conditions that will allow you to study for and complete a bachelor's degree.

We would like to stress that:

  • In the two first academic years you have to earn a minimum of 30 credits (recognised credits from previous studies do not count). If you do not, you will lose your place and the right to study for this degree at the UdG.
  • You have three exam sessions, one per academic year, to pass each subject plus a fourth grace period that, if necessary, you will have to expressly request. If you do not achieve a pass in any of the 4 possible exam sessions (the grade of "Absent" is equivalent to a fail) you will lose the right to study for this degree at the UdG, and you will be withdrawn from the course.
  • It is compulsory to register for any subjects not passed in a given academic the following academic year.
