The University of Girona has an Internal Quality Guarantee System (SGIQ) that was favourably rated by ANECA in 2010. The system is coordinated around the Introductory document to the SIGQ and establishes the procedures for promoting continuous improvements of official bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees and the tools that ensure and guarantee the quality of teaching and learning processes.

The current model is common to the entire University. Given the change of vision that quality primarily is having on teaching institutions, a review process is being carried out by teaching institutions so they can become a faithful reflection of their particular reality.
