Mentoring plan

in the Faculty of Science

The Mentoring Plan (PM) complements the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT) and the Competences Assessment Plan (PAC) at the Faculty of Science and is structured around providing guidance and help for each new student (mentored student) from a student in a higher year superior courses (mentoring student [EM]) with a view to favouring their academic and social integration and contributing to the success of their university studies.

Furthermore, the aim is for it to provide a complementary education, in both personal and professional areas, of the EM, to promote their social skills, organisation, orientation, etc. This encourages a group of students to practically undertake work in different areas in the development of their duties as mentor students. This activity gives the student the right to 1 credit of academic recognition.

The PM is supervised by the coordinator of the mentoring plan, who takes part in the promotion of the Plan, manages enrolments and assigns mentored students between themselves and the EM. Each mentoring student (EM) guides a group of between 3 and 6 mentored students and receives advice and supervision from the coordinator.
