Social Commitment and Professional Guidance Unit

The new Greening Plan approved by the Governing Council on 30 September 2021, is the tool the University of Girona is equipped with for guide its future actions in environmental and climate issues. It is presented as a revision and update of the Strategic Greening plan approved by the Governing Council in 2000.Despite being a revision, there have been important changes in the structure and objectives, especially those related to climate issues.Nowadays, the management of the UdG’s Greening Plan is the responsibility of the Area of Sustainability of the Social Commitment Unit.

The Inclusion and Diversity Plan 2025–2030 of the University of Girona, approved by the Governing Council, defines the roadmap to continue advancing towards a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable university.

From the first government programme, the UdG has assumed the commitment, as a public university, to be a spaceopen and accessible to everyone This commitment has resulted in two main lines of action: improving support for people with specific needs in the university community and opening doors to groups that have traditionally not had it easy to access the university.

The UdG is committed to a communitydiverse, visible and representative of society, understanding diversity not only as a reflection of reality, but also as a collective wealth. With the joint work of the Inclusion Area, experts and territorial networks, this vision is now consolidated in a new Inclusion Plan that guides the policies of the coming years.

(Approved at the UdG’s Governing Council meeting of 15 October 2020)
