Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
The Odisseu Practicum grants aim to encourage young university students to go on remunerated placements in companies located in rural areas to promote business competitiveness, as well as the return and establishment of these young people in rural areas.
There is a dual objective:
The programme is promoted by the Ministry of Social Rights and Inclusion, the Catalan Youth Agency, the Directorate General of Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, the Directorate General of Universities of the Ministry of Research and Universities, the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) and the12 universities in the Catalan university system

Students enrolled on official bachelor’s degrees or master’s degrees In the case of bachelor’s degree students, a minimum of 50% of creditswhen submitting the candidacy.
The student should not have had a previous contractual employment relationship with the company and/or institution that offers the placement, except in those cases where the previous work experience was to carry out totally different tasks to those that will be carried out on the placement.
The student must beselectedby the company or institution interested in the established period.
Each student can submit their candidacy for a maximum of 3 placement class offers.
