The UCSOP promotes volunteer programmes, university cooperation, and community action, and encourages collaboration with the social, economic, and institutional fabric of the region, fostering student participation and engagement through student associations and the Student Council, and facilitating valuable training and practical experience opportunities.It also develops awareness and training initiatives on inclusion, diversity, non-discrimination, environmental sustainability, and health promotion, in accordance with the UdG's strategic plans.

In the area of ​​professional guidance, the Unit supports students and graduates in their transition to the workforce through guidance programmes, extracurricular placements, entrepreneurship initiatives, professional mentoring, and the management of the job bank, with the aim of facilitating high-quality employment.

The UCSOP also promotes lifelong engagement with the University through the participation of alumni, retired individuals, and continuing education programmes. It acts as a cross-cutting service primarily aimed at students but open to the entire university community and the general public.
