The food and gastronomy campus are strategic areas at the University of Girona. The Food and Gastronomy Campus is a platform created by the University in order to facilitate the relationship between companies and institutions in the food and gastronomy sector at the University of Girona. The Campus acts as meeting platform to create synergies between all companies and institutions registered and research groups at the University.
One of the Campus’ agents is theInstitute of Food and Agricultural Technology (INTEA), a university research institute created in order to promote and enhance research and teaching activities related with the food and agriculture industry. The INTEA encompasses different research groups at the UdG, all of which have a demonstrated level of scientific/technical quality and that maintain a close relationship with the productive sectors.
The Campus is a member of the Reference Network in Food Technology of the Government of Catalonia (XaRTA), the Catalan Association of Innovation for the Pork Sector (INNOVACC), the Triptolemos Foundation and the Food and Agriculture CEI (International Campus of Excellence) Network.
