Master's degree in food biotechnology

Scholarships and grants

Master's degree students may choose to apply for general scholarships and UdG scholarships.

In terms of UdG scholarships, there are scholarships to pay for enrolment fees (UdG scholarships - Bank of Santander, international students and national students, and scholarships from the Chair of Gastronomy, Culture and Tourism of Calonge - Sant Antoni) and those that assist with attendance at international research conferences.

The Calonge and Sant Antoni Chair of Gastronomy, Culture and Tourism offers six grants per academic year for master's degree studies at the University of Girona linked with the area of gastronomy and food. These grants are to cover the full amount of the enrolment cost for 60 credits on an official master’s degree taken at the University of Girona.

All students pre-enrolled on the Master in Food Biotechnology and the Master in Cultural Tourism can apply for these grants (in the case of the latter, out of the two pathways of Cultural Heritage or Gastronomy, only those specialising in Gastronomy may receive the grant).Students gaining the grant will have to carry out their master’s thesis about a subject of interest in the area of gastronomy and food, typical of the Chair of Gastronomy, Culture and Tourism.Once the academic period is completed, the results of the six master's theses will have to be shown publicly by the Chair in an organised event.-

The terms and conditions are published every year during the pre-enrolment period.
