Director of the EPS

The Polytechnic School (EPS) is a teaching institution created in 1992 with the restructuring of universities in Catalonia and the consequent creation of the University of Girona.

In 1968 the school of Agricultural Technical Engineering was founded, which became part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya on 10 May 1972. It was not until 1973 that the endorsement order was obtained, and activities finally began on 15 January 1974. So it is that for over 40 years the EPS has been present in the Girona region, initially as a centre dependent on the UPC and, since 1992, as a centre of the University of Girona. Throughout this evolution, the EPS has been the university teaching institution in which technological university courses have been delivered, a fact that has allowed the School to integrate into its surroundings and in particular the industrial, agricultural and service sectors in our region.

The School is currently located on the Montilivi Campus and consists of buildings P-I (opened officially in 1985), P-II, P-III and P-IV. It is one of the biggest centres at the University of Girona with more than 40 years of history summarised in the commemorative book being published.
