Under Article 105 of the University of Girona’s Articles of Association, the UdG Ombudsperson is responsible for protecting the rights and freedoms of students, academic staff and administrative and services staff before the actions of the various university bodies and services.

The University Ombudsperson’s actions must always aim to improve the quality of the university in all its areas, never be subject to any university authority’s mandatory instructions but rather governed by the principles of independence and autonomy.
