Any member of the university community can formulate complaints, observations, suggestions or consultations, individually or collectively.

Recommendation on the use of communication channels

In order to guarantee safe use in accordance with the established guarantees, the recommendation is to prioritise the use of the secure participation channel provided by the Ombudsman’s Office before sending an email.The measure helps preserve the confidentiality, traceability and protection of data treated in the institutional sphere.

The recommendations do not have executive power, but they bring a criterion or orientation which the ombudsperson's office considers as matching the principles or the values or rights applicable rights to the cases in question.The addressee can accept the recommendations and considerations that the ombudsman sends to them or not, according to their criteria and sense of institutional responsibility.

Yes, the ombudsperson’s office cannot formally admit complaints that have not explored all the administrative means available, but can attend to all members of the community and give them information, advice and guidance.

All data given to the ombudsperson’s office relating to any case will be handled in the strictest confidentiality.If, for any reason, you believe that identifying yourself may be harmful, you can submit the complaint anonymously through the Secure participation channel mail box.
