Allows texts coming from a scientific event (symposium, meeting, congress, etc...) to be deposited in the institutional repository of the University of Girona.
All first authors who send abstracts/communications are informed that a copy of the text will be deposited in the University of Girona’s open access institutional repository.They therefore grant non-exclusive exploitation rights to the UdG.It is mandatory to accept the notification to be able to submit documents.
If the documents are records from a congress or conference, they will go into the DUGiDocs repository. For all other material, an evaluation will be made to assess which collections these are deposited in.
If the conference gets recorded and deposited in the institutional repository for audio and media, DUGiMedia , the recordings and the presentation will be linked with the presentations deposited in DUGiDocs .
WE should take into account that everything deposited in the institutional repository is open access.This means that an open Creative Commons Licence is assigned.Those in charge of the event will have to choose which licence applies, the recommendation is to choose those that promote broader open access: CC-by, CC-by-sa, CC-by-nc, cc-by-nc-sa
From the BIBEC Technical Office will provide access to the platform esdeveniments.udg.edu to recover all this material and introduce it into the repository.The material should therefore be accompanied by a summary and some keywords.
For those wishing to publish records from a congress or conference in a book format, before starting the Call for papers, you will need to contact the UdG Publications Office for information on the conditions of acceptance of originals and of publication.The resulting work will have an ISBN reference and other suitable bibliographical identifiers and will be considered a publication by the University of Girona.
