Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
Registration payments will be for the amount determined in each case in the registration process for the activity of the interested person, and before the specified deadline.
The payment, within the specified time frame, is an essential requisite for guaranteeing acceptance and participation in the activity.
Accreditations that give the right to a special price or discount will have to be provided during the registration process, otherwise these cannot be applied.
The TPV is the only method of payment.
Once the payment is made, it can only be returned with a request made in advance by the interested party, as set out in article 21 of Decree 277/1999, of 28 September, approving the regulations on rates and public prices of the Government of Catalonia, as follows:
a) When payment has been made in duplicate
b) When the amount paid is higher than the amount due
c) When the service or activity determined by the rate or the public price are not provided for reasons that cannot be attributed to the person registered
d) When the Administration rectifies any material error for professional reasons or in response to a request, and the rectification results in an undue charge
Payments cannot be returned for reasons not included in the above sections, such as non-attendance owing to unavailability, missed flights, transport problems, illness, accident etc.
An invoice will be issued for each payment. If an individual or an organisation paying the registration fee differs from the one registered, the invoicing details will need to show the details of the party making the payment, not the person registered to attend the event.
There is only one current account for all the payments corresponding to registrations for the various events held, linked to the TPV for the Symposium.
The organiser of the congress will have to inform the SEPIC (Treasury) of the name of the person who should have access to the current account and will act as the financial manager (with access to consult transactions etc. but not to operate).
The financial manager will download an excel from the Symposium with data on the registrations made and will have to access the current account at the bank and check the payments received (they will need match and reference the registrations for the event recorded on the Symposium with the payments received by the bank). At that point, they will need to ask the SEPIC to issue the invoices and accompany these with the payment date, detailing the bank commissions for the TPV and specifying the unit for the payments.
