1st Edition of the Sustainability, SDGs and developmental education” course
The online course is aimed at university students from all faculties and schools who are interested in the subject. It will be held online with 4 pre-recorded modules. Each of the 4 modules will show a dialogue between two renowned speakers in the area of knowledge of the course. The course will include videos with talks from various speakers, presentations and support videos. During the recording a graphic designer will make sketches that help with incorporating the key knowledge and concepts dealt with for the purposes of creating a mental scheme for helping students to set this knowledge in its cognitive structure.
Assessment: A final report must be handed in on 7 July 2023, by the latest.The report will consist of drafting the key ideas that students have included regarding each of the 4 dialogues. The presentation of this report is crucial for accessing the academic recognition of 1 credit (bachelor's-degree students at the UdG) or in the certificate of achievement of 25 hours of education (dual bachelor’s-degree and master’s-degree students at the UdG or other universities in Spanish or abroad).
Recognition of the course: once the period for doing the course has ended, the teaching staff will proceed to assess the reports received and decide whether they can obtain the recognition of 1 credit or 25 hours of education, which will be communicated to all those who have submitted their work.
Recognition of 1 credit for bachelor's-degree students at the UdG will be noted in their academic records a few days after the assessment session. All other students will receive their certificate of 25 hours of education by email.
3rd Edition of the Social Responsibility Plan
The third edition of the course on the Social Responsibility Plan started on 21 November. This free online course was organised into 3 modules:
- Responsibility as an added value
- Cases of SR being applied at different companies and organisations in Girona
- How to darw up an SR Plan
UdG students who passes the course gained and academic recognition credit. All other participants who were not students on UdG bachelor’s degree courses gained a certificate of 25 hours’ study.

3rd Edition of the Introduction to Social Responsibility
The third edition of the Introduction to Social Responsibility started on 9 May. A free online course with a pre-recorded programme where the various speakers present information with images, Power Points and drawings etc.
Participants on the course had to answer some questions after watching each video and also produce a final report.
UdG students who passes the course gained and academic recognition credit. All other participants who were not students on UdG bachelor’s degree courses gained a certificate of 25 hours’ study.

Sustainability, SDGs and developmental education course
The Sustainability, SDGs and developmental education course began on 16 February This free online course was organised into 4 modules:
Module 1: Debate between the emeritus professor of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the UdG Dr Anna M. Geli de Ciurana and the tenured professor Dr Belén Sáenz-Rico de Santiago from Complutense University of Madrid, on the importance of education for the achievement of sustainable development to achieve the SDGs and to improve the living conditions on the planet and of people.
- Module 2. Debate between the Ramon i Cajal researcher at the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the UdG, Dr Alfredo Jornet Gil and the Colombian youth activist Francisco Vera Manzanares, to analyse what youth associations can do to fight climate change and achieve sustainable development.
- Module 3. Debate between the tenured professor from the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences at the UdG Dr Helena Benito Mundet and Mr Arnau Queralt Bassa, chairman of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development in Catalonia (CADS), on actions performed in Catalonia to achieve the SDGs.
- Module 4. Debate between the tenured professor from the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the UdG Dr M. Rosa Terradellas Piferrer and the General Coordinator of Kairós-Educación Dr Telémaco Talavera Siles, to analyse how education can be transformed worldwide to ensure education for development that achieves the SDGs and sustainable development
