Languages at the UdG

If you are someone external to the UdG

Academic year 2023-2024

To enrol on a Modern Language Service activity you will need to have an account (user and password) or provisional-access link.

Follow the instructions to obtain it, according to your profile.

1. Preliminary information before you enrol

  1. You will need to register as a UdG user.
  2. Once registered, you will receive a notification email with a provisional access link, which will allow you to register for activities at the SLM.
  3. Three days after registering for an activity, you will receive a notification email with the definitive UdG user code plus the link for assigning a password.
  4. You will need to be on the alert for notifications with instructions relating to new UdG users.

  1. Recover your old UdG account (user and password).
  2. If you do not remember it go to the UdG page What you have to do if you have forgotten your user name and password to obtain it.
  3. If you do not receive this information, get in touch with the SLM secretary’s office at (llengues@udg.edu). 
  4. Once your username and password have been restored, update your “notification email” on thedigital identitypage.

  1. You will need to register as a user of the UdG, unless you belong to a group connected to the UdG (in that case, follow the enrolment instructions for your group).
  2. Once registered, you will receive a notification email with a provisional link giving you access to the SLM’s activities enrolment platform. 
  3. After a few days, you will receive a notification email with your final UdG user account. When you receive it, get in touch with the SLM's Secretary's Office (llengues@udg.edu) to inform them and confirm you are a member of the UdG Group collective and that collective is linked to you.
  4. You will need to be on the alert for notifications with instructions relating to new UdG users.

2. Confirm your previous level of language

If you have an official certificate (German, English, French and Catalan ) of the level immediately below, you have to register for Validation of certificate (only during the period of enrolment) and attach your certificate there. To do this, read and carefully follow the following instructions:

  1. Enter the Certificate validation information and click on “Enrol”. Next, identify yourself with your user name and password.
  2. Attach your certificate using the “Attach certificate: choose a file” option. 
  3. When carrying out the process, check your personal details and make sure you complete the process ("Complete").
  4. You should receive an automatic confirmation mail.
  5. Check the validity of the certificate after 48 hours in the SLM report:
    1. If the certificate is valid, it will say “Validation + the level it is equivalent to". After that, you can self-register for the course at the level immediately above that one: Self-register.
    2. If the certificate is not valid it will say "NOT VALID". In this case, you need to sit the placement test (see the section If you cannot prove your language level).

You will have to take an (online) placement test to find our your language level (A2, B1, B2.1, B2, C1.1, C1).You do not need to take a placement test if you wish to enrol on an A1 level course for any language or an A2 level Catalan course. In this case, you can enrol online directly.
