Student mobility for Erasmus+ for Traineeships placements is a modality of the European Union's Erasmus+ programme. It aims to help students to adapt to the demands of the European job market, acquire specific aptitudes and improve their understanding of the economic and social environment of the placement country, at the same time as they acquire work experience.
The goal of this programme is for university students to carry out placements with academic recognition or volunteer work in companies or organisations from other EU member states and third countries associated with the programme (such as North Macedonia, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Serbia, Norway, Iceland).
The duration of the stay varies between 2 months (required minimum) and a maximum of 12 months. The stay can be carried out during the master or once finished, but the application has to be made while the student is enrolled on the master and at least 15 days before starting the stay. The periods for applying for an carrying out the stay vary according to the call. The call in force can be consulted at here.
Although there are no grants that cover all the expenses of the stay, there are grants Eramus+ for Traineeships que ajuden a cobrir les despeses de viatge, allotjament, manutenció i assegurança que es pugui generar de la mobilitat del participant.
BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) for training placements
The combined intensive programmes (Blended Intensive Programmes) are developed and implemented by at least three higher education institutions from at least three EU member states and from third countries associated with the programme.
These are intensive short programmes with innovative teaching and learning methods, including online cooperation. These programmes can include challenge-based learning, where transnational and transdisciplinary teams work to approach challenges together such as the UN sustainable development goals and other social challenges.
Activities last roughly two and a half months, combine online work and a week of mobility at the organising university to carry it out in a face-to-face format. The main goal is to promote this capacity for developing and implementing innovative teaching and learning placements for participants.
