One of the various aims of the University of Girona is to take part in the progress and development of society and in the improvement of the education system, as well as promoting activities beyond the university sphere and fostering knowledge and information exchange with other institutions.
The Catalan Ministry of Education’s aims include strategies for the professional development of teachers, networking, in-school training, the transfer and evaluation of the impact of lifelong learning, the promotion of educational research with the implementation of process and impact evaluation policies to obtain scalable and transferable models for different educational realities, and the promotion of strategies and joint action plans with other administrations, universities, organisations and institutions for training, innovation, school success, new opportunities and lifelong learning, among other objectives. The link with the Chair in terms of innovation and research is carried out through the Centre for Specific Resources to Support Innovation and Educational Research (CESIRE).
Girona City Council is interested in collaborating with the UdG and GAMAR in organising activities aimed at teaching mathematics at school under the Educational Resources programme, managed by the municipal education service La Caseta-Educational Services in the exercise of the municipal competences in Article 25 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, regulating local government regulations.
