The RTS are split into six units that combine a set of similar experimental techniques or are dedicated to providing services related to specific methodological expertise.

Simulation is basic in health care to ensure quality assistance and for students to learn to diagnose and deal with clinical problems without posing a risk for real patients. The Learning and Clinical Simulation Laboratory (LASC) of the Health Research and Health Care group, which has a surface are of about 100 square metres, reproduces a real critical care environment and has the latest technical equipment for dealing with patient in accident and emergency situations.
The laboratory has cutting-edge technology for diagnosing, monitoring and providing life support for a sick person in a critical situation. It is a replica of an area equipped to act as a critical care unit. It also has advanced, life-size dummies from babies to adults, besides other supplementary teaching resources for virtual simulation.
This facility is available for researchers, health workers, companies and institutions that work in accident and emergencies.
The Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Service (SIGTE) at the University of Girona is a service specialised in processing geolocation information and using and applying geographical information technologies. SIGTE offers technical support, advice, training and technology solutions in the field of geographical information.
