In accordance with Article 118 of the Statutes (Articles of Association) of the University of Girona, the Ombudsman of the University of Girona is the body tasked with working for the respect of rights and freedoms of students, teaching and research staff and technical, management and administration service staff before the actions of different bodies, structures, entities, services, areas of study, foundations and other legal persons that take part in the University of Girona.

The University Ombudsman’s actions must always aim to improve the quality of the university in all its areas, never be subject to any university authority’s mandatory instructions but rather governed by the principles of independence, autonomy and confidentiality. The Ombudsman can take on mediation, work-life balance and good professions.
