Objectives

Institute of Educational Research.

The Institute of Educational Research conducts work based around the following objectives:

  1. Striving for recognition of the singularities of the production of socially relevant knowledge in the educational sphere.
  2. Projecting and giving prestige to the educational research carried out at the UdG before the scientific community, educational administrations and the social environment.
  3. Promoting the diffusion of the results of educational research.
  4. Promoting the internationalisation of the results of research, exchanging methodologies and proposals among investigators, members of the Institute, collaborators and partners.
  5. Promoting the various UdG research groups and investigators through the diffusion of their work and of the offer of their services.
  6. Striving for the consolidation of educational research within the UdG and in the global panorama of the Catalan university system.
  7. Establishing criteria for joint action with the Faculty of Education and Psychology, the Institute of Education Sciences Josep Pallach and departments and institutes linked to education.
  8. Establishing coordinating mechanisms and collaboration among the various investigators and research groups.
  9. Fostering the planning, design and development of interdisciplinary research projects.
  10. Contributing to methodological progress regarding the design and application of projects geared towards the transformation of the educational reality.
  11. Offering logistical support of a diverse nature to investigators and research groups that facilitate the realisation of the tasks inherent to the research.
  12. Favouring professional progress and the consolidation of the research careers of its staff.
  13. Striving to consolidate a climate of positive relations among the research community.

  4. Promotion and offer of services.
  5. Consolidation in the context of the University of Girona.

  7. Promotion of internal collaboration.
  8. Interdisciplinarity.
  9. Research methodology aimed at improvement.
  10. Research support.
  11. Its members’ research career.
