Objectius

  1. Edició crítica i digital de l’obra en castellà de Garcilaso
    Es completarà l’edició anotada, crítica i digital de les seves poesies en castellà, integrant materials inèdits i buscant nous testimonis impresos i manuscrits.
  2. Identificació de fonts clàssiques i contemporànies
    S’aprofundirà en les influències literàries de Garcilaso, tant llatines com italianes, mitjançant un simposi a la Universitat de Girona el 2025 (Contemporary Latin and Italian Vernacular Poetry in the Works of Garcilaso.
  3. Biographical and contextual research
    The exploration of the poet’s life continues through archive documents and analyses of the literary and cultural context, allowing his compositions to be dated and relocated within his historical framework. This will contribute to the writing of a new biography of Garcilaso.
  4. Dissemination of the poet’s literary context in Italy
    The content of the Pronapoli platform will continue to be expanded and perfected to offer information on the literary environment surrounding Garcilaso during his stay in Italy.
  5. Translation of Garcilaso’s work into English
    There will be a philologically thorough translation of his production in both Latin and Spanish, guaranteeing accessibility to an international audience.
  6. Publication in open access and printed format
    In addition to the digital edition, printed versions of the texts published by Gredos will be offered, ensuring their availability for a specialised audience that values the traditional format.
