In the economic-crisis environment we see today, professionals in cultural tourism are offering cultural institutions and facilities an option for reaching new types of public and thereby increasing their resources.

This master's degree's area of study and possible opportunities is international, as our vocation is precisely for students to carry out their professional or research activity in cooperation, on an international network or at International destinations.

Active professionals from cultural tourism sector are in permanent contact with the master's degree's supervisors and coordinators. This permanent contact has turned teachers and researchers in cultural tourism into members of the Faculty of Tourism playing an active part in cultural tourism networks such as the Catalan Tourism Culture ClubUNITWIN - network of universities teaching degree courses in cultural tourism, etc.

Following and developing EEES methodology, master's students analyse the problems in practicals and the solutions raised in their work areas the group-class, with teachers and students from the cycle. That is why group-decision learning, in network, and subsequent applied methodology guarantee maturity, tutorial activity and knowledge return in the master's degree itself from the participants.

Access to the doctoral degree

This master's degree enables admission to the Joint Doctoral Degree in Tourism programme.
