Master in Natural Heritage: valuation and management

Internships

Companies and research groups where work placements can be carried out

Students will have an internship in an institution or company connected to the area of the natural heritage. The aim behind this activity is for students to be in direct contact with the professional world and acquire practical experience and more specialisation in one of the natural heritage’s areas of work. On a personal level, a few good practicals should help students in aspects such as learning to adapt to changes set out by the company's managers and staff and consolidate their personality as a responsible individual.

A supervisor from the company guides the student’s work and assesses the skills associated with the professional activity carried out and the work is periodically supervised by an academic supervisor.

The 12 credits assigned to the subject correspond to 270 hours of face-to-face practicals in the company or institution and 30 hours divided up into meetings with supervisors and the drafting of the report to be submitted at the end.

Internships will be carried out mainly in the third term, however, students will have to be ready during the second term to perform them, with meetings with their academic supervisor and company supervisor, seeking information and familiarising themselves with the techniques, tools or procedures making up this professional activity.

Students will be able to carry out their Internships in any entity related with natural heritage once they have signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Girona. The process is already being formalised with these institutions and companies:
