Summary

Working on the biography in German in a fun way (inspired by the account instagram / telegram de profes TV /César Poyatos)

Objectives

  • Meet international artists
  • Working on the biography in German
  • Working on the past

Step by step

Inspired by the account instagram / telegram de profes TV /César Poyatos, I adapted the following prompt

PROMPT:

"Design a game in which my students of [age] will have to guess important Spanish women from 5 clues.Add play mechanics, dynamic and elements. Each game must last [Time of the game] With this game I want my students to work on gender equality, co-education, reflection, deduction and association. At the end create a table with two columns, one with women and the other with clues."

This is the prompt I used:

Translation into Catalan:

"Imagine that you are a German language teacher at the university, in the bachelor’s degree in Tourism. You are an expert in communicative methodology and an expert in the didactics of German as a foreign language.Students are at the end of level A2, starting level B1.1.Develop a game in which students (aged 18 to 23) have to guess a female artist and a male artist from different eras in Europe, Asia, Africa, Arabia and Iran from five clues.Add play mechanics, play dynamics and play elements. Each game should last 15 minutes. With this game, I want my students to work on the past.At the end, create a table with two columns: one with artists and the other with the clues.“

César Poyatos had given the link on his canva, which I used as a template and adapted.

Comments

Very communicative exercise. It enabled me to familiarise students with international artists.

Students had to listen to their classmates

In an entertaining way, they used vocabulary and structures.

  • Step 1: familiarise students with artists with an exercise linking the artist, a work and biography.
  • Step 2: with questions, they had to guess the artists.
