The subject will focus on analysing and understanding the historical development of the main impact of the great environmental problems on a planetary scale, not to mention regional scale too, and, finally, its repercussions at local level in the context of global environmental change.The following derived key themes are approached on this multi-scalar basis: the awakening of environmental and sustainability consciousness, Anthropocene, the climate crisis, the food crisis, the migratory crisis.Special emphasis, when dealing with all these derivatives, is put on their manifestations, consequences and future scenarios in the context of the Mediterranean basin.
