New curriculum
The EIT-BA double degree offers determined students the opportunity to take two separate yet complementary courses over five years in order to acquire extensive knowledge in management and company organisation.
On the one hand, the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering summarises all the branches of technology and engineering: mechanical, electronic, and chemical, and forms part of the necessary training to become an industrial engineer; and on the other hand, the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management provides the appropriate training in economics and organisation of the company and equips students to develop the tasks of business management.

It's useful to know
In the dual bachelor's degree GETI-ADE, you will acquire general competences in two aspects:
1) The scientific and technological bases of all areas of engineering in order to design, develop, and analyze products and services from various areas (vehicles, machines, and structures of the branch of Mechanical Engineering; electronic components, automatic systems, and robots of the branch of Electronic and Automatic Engineering; or chemical processes and environmental management of the branch of Chemical Engineering).
2) The foundations of economics and business administration in order to manage a business project.
At the same time, you will acquire the scientific and mathematical knowledge that will allow you to understand the necessary technical and scientific documentation for research and development (R&D&I) in any of these areas, as well as to interpret reports written by other specialist engineers and company directors. This multidisciplinary ability will allow you to lead cross-disciplinary working parties and work as a manager in technology companies.
The training of the engineer in industrial technologies is naturally complemented by the Master in Industrial Engineering (www.udg.edu/masterengind), which qualifies the holder to work as an industrial engineer, a profession with a tradition of over 150 years that is highly valued by both national and international companies.

Careers
At the end of the Dual bachelor's degree in Tourism / Marketing, due to the extensive knowledge you will have received, both in the field of engineering and in the economic and social spheres, you will have a wide range of possibilities for entering the labor market. The variety of knowledge you will have acquired, from the mechanics, structures, or control of the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering to the economy, accounting analysis, and financial management of the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, will allow you to have a multidisciplinary profile that is highly appreciated by the industrial fabric of our country.
However, the first recommendation is to complete the education with the Master in Industrial Engineering.A recent slogan from the Association of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia was ‘In everything and for everything.’ This slogan shows that, with the continuity of the Master in Industrial Engineering, you will be able to work in the main industrial sectors, mainly in the area of production and product development. In addition, with the bridging courses in business administration already acquired, you will expand the possibilities towards the various functional areas of the company.besides production.
Continue studying
The Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering gives direct access to the Master in Industrial Engineering, which is the only official master's degree that authorizes the holder to work as an industrial engineer. It also provides access to master's degrees in Business Administration and Management and to technological and scientific master's degrees, depending on the concerns that have arisen during the dual bachelor's degree, and if you wish to continue studying in the field of research, you can access the Doctoral Programme in Technology.

The academic calendar marks the beginning and end of classes, non-teaching days, holidays, exam periods, and so on.The administrative calendar marks the periods to make the different formalities administrative.
Placements
All subjects have a practical aspect that carries a lot of weight on the course. You will carry out the practical projects in small groups in laboratories with equipment adapted to current needs.Businesses play a large role at the Polytechnic School and the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences. As a dual bachelor's degree student, you will be able to do internships through external placements. You will be able to choose between over 450 options available each year.
Bachelor's thesis
During the last year, you will complete the bachelor's thesis (TFG), where you will demonstrate the knowledge you have acquired during your education.Given that you will pursue two bachelor's degree studies, you will be able to do one bachelor's thesis for each study, following the regulations of each teaching resource centre, or a single report that will include two parts corresponding to each of the two bachelor's degree studies and which will be evaluated following the dual degree regulations.
If you choose the option to create a single report, it will be an engineering project on the subject you select, and it will be necessary to include an extensive financial assessment to comply with the competences of the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management; or it will be a business project in the functional area you select, and it will be necessary to include an extensive engineering component to fulfill the competences of the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering. If you wish, you can complete this in a company or research group.
Moreover, the best theses will be awarded prizes. Both the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences and the Polytechnic School have external bodies that assess the work submitted. The business association that supports the Polytechnic School and the professional associations of engineers each year awards prizes to the best bachelor's theses in Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering, and the College of Economists of Catalonia and the Association of Competence Censors of Catalonia also award prizes to the best bachelor's theses in Business Administration and Management.
Mobility
The Polytechnic School and the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences have relationships with universities from around the world. There are several mobility and exchange programmes that will allow you to do stays abroad to study subjects, prepare your bachelor's thesis, or expand your bachelor's degree studies: Erasmus, Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, Socrates, IAESTE, SICUE-Sèneca, Balsells scholarships, Josep Maria Ginés i Pous scholarships, etc.
