The bachelor's degree curricula include up to 6 academic recognition credits, which students can request for participating in university activities in the fields of culture, sport, student representation, solidarity and cooperation, organised by the UdG in accordance with the Regulations on recognition and transfer of credits.

The following list includes the activities common to all bachelor's degree students at the UdG. To see specific activities approved by the Governing Commission of each teaching centre, visit the web page of the faculty or corresponding school.

Participation in Xoriguers human tower building group Be part of the human tower group of the University of Girona. Our group is solely made up of members of the University of Girona community, which includes mostly students along with some teaching staff and administration and service staff (PAS). To be a "xoriguer" you don't need to meet any specific conditions. You can take up many different positions in a human castle, but if you prefer you can join the band that accompanies the human castle performers by playing music as they build their human castles, while at the same time providing entertainment for the festival and taking part in street parades. Participation in the UdG internal Debate League The University Debating League is an activity directed at all students at the University of Girona. Its main objective is to foster the use of words through the dialectic confrontation between two teams, where each has to defend a position (in favour or against) with respect to a debate topic taken from current affairs. Batucada UdGBatucada UdGBatucada UdG Percussion is a popular acceptance activity that improves concentration, memory, and coordination, aids relaxation, and is characterised by personal and interpersonal benefits. The objectives of this activity are pedagogical, preventive and recreational, so as to improve the musical culture of the UdG students who participate. Participation in the Orchestra of the University of Girona The new group will correspond, as far as possible and depending on registrations, to the template of a classical orchestra (wood wind, metal wind, percussion and string), and will rehearse every week in two-hour sessions (Thursdays, from 8 pm to 10 pm). In addition, it will also give live performances (twice a year regularly). Overall it will represent a total of 70 hours’ face-to-face participation during the academic plus individual studies of the music scores. Throughout the year, the group will carry out socialising and exchange activities as well as musical collaboration with other university music groups at the UdG (the UdG Choir) and other centres. Sustainability, the ODS and education for development The course is aimed at university students at all faculties and schools. It will be held online with 4 pre-recorded modules. Each of the 4 modules will show a dialogue between two renowned speakers in the area of knowledge of the course. The course will include videos with talks from various speakers, presentations and support videos. During the recording a graphic designer will make sketches that help with incorporating the key knowledge and concepts dealt with for the purposes of creating a mental scheme for helping students to set this knowledge in its cognitive structure. Treasurer of university associations registered at the UdG UdG students form associations based on a vast range of interests. Coordinator of the Council of Associations of the UdG at the UdG Associations registered with the UdG's associations register are grouped on the Associations Board, the body tasked with enabling correct coordination and relations between them, seeing to common interests and developing a synergy that boosts such association and facilitates the development of all their activities. The person responsible for the smooth running of this board is the coordinator. Participation in the introductory course to the university The main aim of the Introduction to the University Course is to integrate new students into university life and higher education at the University of Girona. This means helping students find their way in their new setting, and making them aware of the possibilities, activities and events available at the institution and the different groups that are linked to it. Climate justice (virtual exchange) The approach and methodology are for a synthesis of asynchronous and synchronic elements, using dialogue as a teaching tool for learning and creation. The sessions are simultaneously supported with expert content and promoted by the participants. Every week, small groups of participants (about 10) meet for two hours of videoconferences to engage with the content of the course and with each other, under the guidance of trained facilitators. There will be a diverse set of participants (nationality, ethnic group, gender, language and education), enabling participants to find perspective and antecedents they perhaps have never interacted with before. The education allows participants to become effective online facilitators who provoke awareness, understanding and effective intercultural communication to be multipartial and neutral leaders of processes that entail learning in a safe space and a constructive environment. Facilitators are trained to apply a diverse set of participation tools to foster sensitisation and learning and approach it through different group dynamics.
