The hexacopter attracts budding geographers to the Open Day
Last Friday, 19 February 2018, the Universitat de Girona opened its doors to students from upper secondary school education interested in finding out more about the different bachelor's degrees on offer. At the Department of Geography, we organized a space at the University Senate of the Faculties of Arts to offer information on the bachelor's degree in Geography, Town and Country Planning and Environmental Management, focussing especially on new technologies as a result of the teledetection function that ever more present drones offer to us.
The Department's hexacopter attracted the looks of many pupils. Through a simulation application installed on different tables, those brave enough had the opportunity of learning how to use a drone flight simulator. Those that managed to overcome three levels had the opportunity driving the hexacopter around the open space of the Sant Domènec University Senate. An experience that they will surely remember and in particular if they end up choosing to study our bachelor's degree.
