Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
This research project arises from the need to identify the knowledge that university students at the Faculty of Tourism have of religious diversity.
The project gauges this knowledge through teaching materials and awareness actions.
The main religions: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism.
The results have enabled us to identify a significant lack of knowledge on the part of the students when it come to the religious diversity in the classrooms.
Therefore, these materials will allow for work on awareness and work with this diversity, as a key element to helping students understand the world they live in and tackle different situations in both their personal and professional life.
Particularly in the Faculty of Tourism, with multicultural working environments and international customers, allowing them to be better professionals.
