Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
The first action will be the Chair's public presentation.Delivering a lecture as a prologue to a collection of aimed at disseminating knowledge to city residents.
Presentation acts for the Chair will be held at various institutional levels and its corporate image designed and created.
Its first year initiatives will focus on establishing and strengthening alliances between universities and other institutions that may collaborate in knowledge exchanges at national level.The second year will see the alliances with the Chair extend to international level.
Several lectures will be organised, aimed at dissemination among city residents.
The first call for research prize entries will be held, one for Vocational Training Cycle students and another for university students.
The Climent Guitart Chair: Orientation, innovation and competitiveness for coastal tourism, with the collaboration and sponsorship of Lloret de Mar Town Council, the Climent Guitart Foundation, and the University of Girona, holds the Lauretum awards. The aim is to attract talent and young people’s knowledge towards the tourist world.
