Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
Scientific Director
Full Professor of the Science of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering of the University of Girona. He is the main researcher of the UdG research group AMADE, a consolidated group of the Government of Catalonia. Bachelor's degree in Physics (1990) and PhD in Physics (1996) from the University of Barcelona. His area of research is the experimental characterisation and simulation of the mechanical behaviour of compound materials laminated for structural applications. He has lead different university-company innovation and technology transfer agreements in different industrial sectors (aerospace, aerogenerators, automotion, etc). He is the author of more than 70 indexed publications. Since 2013, he has been the chair of the Spanish Association of Compound Materials.
Campus facilitator at the Robotics Campus and Composites Campus
Holder of an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Girona (2012), and a master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry (2014) and a doctoral degree in Materials Science (2019) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Research promoter and manager of the Process, Product and Production Engineering Research Group (GREP) for nearly two years. Work experience in communication, promotion and management of research projects in the field of science and technology, both in the public and private sector.
