Learning objectives

The Master in Tourism Management and Planning (MDPT) seeks to provide students with an advanced knowledge of tourism that allow them to serve in technical and management roles at companies and public administrations and to work as qualified professionals in the world of professional consultancy, entrepreneurial innovation and academic study in the field of tourism.

The huge complexity of tourism as a phenomenon calls for professionals with an overall, very extensive knowledge of the different disciplines associated with the subject area. An advanced knowledge of strategic management, innovation, marketing, land planning, economy and finances and legislation is essential in taking decisions in an effective and competent way in any task related with tourism. 

The Master's degree offers two itineraries: Hotel Management (taught in Spanish), Tourist-Destination Management (taught in Spanish) and Tourist-Product Development (taught in English).
