The final project consists of the realisation, presentation, and defence of an original project, carried out individually, before a university tribunal. This project will cover the field of image processing and analysis and artificial intelligence, within which the competences acquired in the different subjects will be drawn together. Students will have the opportunity to join research groups and specialised companies working in the sector at an international level to carry out this final master's degree project.
The MIC Master’s is closely linked to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA). The MAIA is a 120 ECTS master's degree, linked to Erasmus Mundus since 2015, coordinated by the University of Girona (UdG), and with the participation of the Université de Bourgogne (uB, France), the Università degli Studi di Cassino i del Lazio Meridionale (UNICAS, Italy), and a wide range of partner institutions that offer numerous possibilities for undertaking master's theses. It is worth mentioning that there are a wide range of mobility options with MAIA Master’s partner universities as well as with specialised companies at both national and international level. The MIC Master's degree corresponds to the second year of the current MAIA Master's degree and students will study the same subjects together.
