The master's degree seeks to prepare professionals in the following subject matters:

  • Analysing and interpreting the complexity of environmental processes and changes.
  • Recognising the temporary and spatial dimensions of the environmental processes and changes.
  • Understanding the conceptual frameworks for analysing and interpreting the processes of environmental changes and conflicts.
  • Understanding the response mechanisms and management of environmental processes and changes.
  • Constructing environmental scenarios and policies to help protect, improve and restore the territory and environmental vectors.
  • Designing strategies and applying planning instruments and techniques for a more sustainable management of the environmental and territorial vectors.
  • Evaluating the processes of environmental transformation applying methodologies and instruments associated with reference theories, capable of measuring performance mechanisms and results.

More precisely, the master's degree seeks to prepare professionals with the following profiles:

  • Researcher at universities, companies or other research centres.
  • Officer responsible for environmental matters at companies from different sectors and in the public administration.
  • Environmental consultant.
  • Manager of protected natural habitats.
  • Officer responsible for the performance and follow-up of environmental audits and environmental impact studies.
  • Environment professionals in the industrial sector dedicated to environmental matters or environmental process engineering.
